Yamuna Expressway is the 6-lane, 165 km long stretch that connects Greater Noida to Agra. The need for the new Expressway was multi-fold. Apart from reducing travel time between the two cities and allowing development of the bordering areas, the Yamuna Expressway connects the commercial hubs of East Yamuna with the rest of Noida. It also decongests traffic on National Highway 2 which passes through Faridabad and Ballabgarh.
Real estate developers have already launched and delivered new residential properties along the stretch. According to MagicBricks.com, Supertech Ltd, Earth Infrastructures Ltd, Realcraft Buildtech Pvt Ltd, Sunworld and Jaypee are among the few developers building residential hubs on the stretch. The type of building options prevalent here is multistorey apartments. Residential plots are also available.

Supertech has joined hands with Disney Consumer Products India, the merchandising arm of The Walt Disney Company India, for Disney-inspired homes at their proposed residential project on the Expressway. Affordable housing colonies will also make a presence on the Yamuna Expressway soon. The Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway authorities plan to launch schemes to build 7,100 and 5,000 affordable houses here. Upcoming commercial projects on the Yamuna Expressway include Earth Infrastructuresís Earth Express One and Earth Beta and Cosmic Groupís Cosmic Corporate Park, with over 6,00,000 sq ft. A draft plan for extension of Greater Noida up to 94,000 hectares has been approved. With this, Greater Noida will be one of the largest areas of the NCR. This will attract investors and developers to the city in a big way.
